In order to accomplish our goals, we are raising $475,000 for the projects estimated through 2012. Currently, 100% of all donations go directly to humanitarian aid and the materials and equipment needed to complete the projects the Almond Branch Initiative has taken on. A pro-forma financial statement is available upon request for those interested. Please join with us in bringing hope to those in great need.
Our two most recent projects included the reconstruction and expansion of a soldiers’ Canteen in Kiryat Shmona, Israel in October 2008, within 48 hours of a government-mandated shutdown, due to electrical and other building code violations, and the renewal of a park in Sderot, southern Israel this past October 2009. This park was dedicated to all who have lost their lives as the result of kassam rocket fire on Sderot. Almond Branch undertook both of these ambitious projects, underwriting the financial burden, while partnering with eighteen Americans who donated their own travel expenses, totaling more than 40% of the cost of these projects.
