After gaining tremendous experience from PUMA, who through their work with the hurting in New Orleans and Nepal, the Almond Branch Initiative was formed. We bring real hope in the face of hardship through a multi-pronged approach of:
A. Inviting financial support from individuals and corporations who share these same goals but who lack the time, ability or the network to travel to these often remote or risky project zones.
B. Operating as a nonprofit, non-governmental organization (NGO), in order to expedite the work by reducing bureaucracy as well as broadening the number & variety of organizations and individuals within these areas to rapidly and creatively deliver humanitarian aid.
C. Networking with churches, synagogues, hospitals and other local, humanitarian aid groups to have the greatest possible local impact with the lowest possible overhead costs. Our internal operating goal is to maximize the humanitarian “return” on the contributions invested.
